English
I once worked for an American company for 5 years. So then, according to my experience…because we were an American company, its technological process was also carried out according to typical American conventions. When we were working on a project, we would first submit it to a committee. The committee would be made up of our most qualified and senior managers. Then they would coordinate and discuss with lawyers, financial staff and internal personnel of that sort. They would take a look and see what the possibility of success would be, or what sort of cost would be involved, etc…these types of factors. After going through this process, then they would decide; ‘do we or do we not go through with this kind of project?’ If they decide to do it, then the project will move up in the discussion schedule to its development cycle. If the project doesn’t pass then it just gets temporarily put aside. Speaking from the Chinese perspective, I feel, these days…well, in the past China’s firms would all be quite concerned with the final say of the boss in the technological process. But now, that situation has already changed. That is to say that nowadays more and more Chinese companies are moving towards the American methods and are learning more and more from the better aspects. Basically, my own circumstances have been this way. Thank you.
