Definitely, the dominance of men in Turkish work life is unfortunately not controversial. I believe that our cultural structure is very important in this. I believe that due to our girls being banned from education, the field is left to men automatically. It is an idea that I certainly do not agree with, yet, this is Turkish reality for sure. As for your counterpart being a female…I have so far observed that it is a plus to have the counterpart as a female and I agree with this. However, here, certainly, we should divide the Turkish businessmen into two groups. This is valid for all of the questions in general, I believe. That is, the first group is the classic businessmen, that is, what we call “the old school” people that grew up in a certain cultural structure. The second one is the generation after this one. Although they are a minority right now, they have come to certain key positions. I believe that we need to analyze and differentiate well between these two concepts, more correctly, groups. Because, the answers that we gave for all of the questions are true for a certain group, but they can be completely different for the other one. This is what I want to say briefly: Our new generation has departed more from our traditional values, more Europeanized and has become a more effective businessmen clique, I believe.
