Traditional Chinese

OK。

English

In China if you want to sell something, then of course you’d better use a seller’s language to communicate with people. This point is very important. For example, you want to make it very clear what you are trying to sell. If you want to sell a large machine, a (scientific) instrument to a hospital or a research organization, then the important people to get in touch with are the technical personnel. They are the ones you want to talk to…to talk about technology. You must come across as extremely professional and understand every detail so that they will feel satisfied in trusting that you understand this item and will assuredly provide them with the best quality and service. And then say, for instance, you get in contact with some Wenzhou business people. They are going to expect you to have some ‘local’ flavor. They need you to understand their local dialect, common sayings and slang. In this way you can lesson the (cultural or geographic) gap between you and improve your ability to communicate (effectively). Therefore, in China, if you want to sell something, you’d better first investigate thoroughly what it is you want to sell and to whom you want to sell it. Then decide if you want to sell and adopt the appropriate strategy. OK.
