Americans…generally Chinese people think that Americans are in a perpetual state of bustling and hurrying. On this point I think we need to make distinctions for the discussion. In some of the more ‘hustle and bustle’ metropolitans such as New York, Washington DC, and other places where business is booming and frantic, Americans in fact are in hurry. In places like Wall Street, and with all the white-collar types, they are extremely busy and in a hurry. Yet in places like Hawaii and other such vacation destinations, the people are definitely not in a hurry. They are more focused on the quality of life, and the quality of their jobs. I think that most Chinese people think Americans, when at their job, are extremely busy and focused on efficiency. I feel that there is a need to look at individual cases (rather than generalizing).
