English

Hong Kong was under English control for more than 150 years. So, for Hong Kong, legal procedures and contractual processes… generally, Hong Kongese accept and respect them. So, in this respect, when Hong Kongese and Americans do business together, they probably… as far as contracts go, their respect for procedures, it’s not very different. Of course, when terms are set on contracts in Hong Kong, they probably don’t contain as much detail, not as many demands as American ones. But in the respect for contracts, I think there’s basically no difference in the two places. The only difference as far as contracts go is in their degree of precision. That’s probably a difference between the two places. But there’s little difference in their respect for contracts.
