En todo caso de negociación en los que me he encontrado, y considero que es genérico, quizás un "sí" o un "no" simple pueda ser considerado un poco fuerte. Muchas veces es bueno ser directos, pero normalmente nunca dejamos un "sí" a secas o un "no" a secas. Lo que se hace es dar un "sí," y luego quizás una ligera explicación de el porque consideramos dar ese "sí" o ese "no." Normalmente es un: "No, porque considero esto, pero adicionalmente podemos estar considerando cada factor..." O sea de alguna manera tratar de reducir el impacto de un "no" directo. Porque sí considero definitivamente un simple "no" o "sí" puede considerarse un poco brusco.
