Com relação a documentação e legalidade de negócios entre brasileiros e americanos, acho que a grande diferença é mais pelo incentivo que o governo americano dá para os negócios aqui, comparado com o Brasil. Se você vê do ponto de vista quando você está criando uma empresa nova aqui (nos Estados Unidos) é muito fácil você ir num site. Você preenche um formulário, e você já tem em mãos a documentação básica pra você poder começar a trabalhar com esse negócio. No Brasil, dependendo do você quer fazer, as vezes você acaba tendo conflitos de interesse com pessoas da região, com vereadores, com pessoas políticas, e isso faz com que o processo se torne muito longo, muito caro, e as vezes muito desmotivante. O que acaba provocando é o famoso jeitinho brasileiro. O brasileiro vai dar um jeito de conseguir pular essa lei, para que ela consiga botar em prática aquilo que ele quer fazer. Por outro lado, o americano, como processo todo é muito simplificado, mais simples. Eles tendem a, “vamos pegar e fazer toda a documentação primeiro, vamos preocupar com se a gente está infringindo uma lei, se vai causar um problema no futuro”, e eles acabam focando muito tempo nisso, pra que antes de começar a fazer qualquer coisa eles tenham toda a base completo, eles estejam protegidos legalmente pra isso. O brasileiro, a gente se vira depois.

As to documentation and the legality of business between Brazilians and Americans, I think that the greatest difference is more in the incentive that the American government gives to business here, compared to that of Brazil. If you see it from the point of view of creating a new business here (in the United States), it’s easy for you to go to a site. You fill out a form, and you already have the basic documentation in hour hands to begin to start work on this business. In Brazil, depending on what you want to do, sometimes you end up having conflicts of interest with people in the region, with city managers, with political people, and this causes the process to end up being very long, very expensive, and at times unmotivating. This ends up provoking what is the famous Brazilian jeitinho. The Brazilian will finagle something to avoid laws, so that you can put what you want to do into practice. On the other hand, for the American the whole process is simplified, it’s easy. They tend to say, “Let’s get all of the documentation first, let’s see that we are not infringing on any laws, make sure we aren’t causing any future problem,” and they end up focusing their time on that, so that before they start with anything that have the whole foundation complete, and they are legally protected for things. Brazilians, we’ll figure it out later.
