Traditional Chinese
OK. OK

English
OK. In Taiwan, if someone asks you a question, but you don’t the answer, I usually wouldn’t come right out and say, “I don’t know the answer.” This is usually an impolite thing to do. When someone asks you a question, they usually do so because they think that this is one of your areas of expertise. Directly…. Stating directly that you don’t know will make them feel disrespected. When we typically use the I-don’t-know answer, we usually say, “You should go ask these other people,” or “You should check this book for the answer.” For example, if someone asks me if I know how to write some kind of program, if I don’t know, I’ll usually say, “Go… you should take a look at this, this book.” Or I’ll say, “You should go talk to X about this question.” So, this is a very good way to express that you don’t know. OK.
