Normalmente el papel del abogado en el Perú es litigante. Es decir, una persona que va a tratar de defender a su cliente en sus mejores, con sus mejores opciones. Normalmente para una negociación, el que la hace es el director de la empresa o el gerente general de la empresa y no es usual que lleve a un abogado como parte de una negociación. Lo que sí hace es, una vez obtenida la negociación y obviamente si es de envergadura esta negociación, lo que sí hace es que su contrato pueda ser leído por un abogado, pero que participe directamente en una negociación no es muy usual en el Perú.

Normally the role of a lawyer in Peru is that of litigation. That is to say, a person who goes to defend his client in the best, with the best options.
