Definitivamente creo que sí. Mi percepción sobre este estereotipo es que los americanos estáis mucho más preocupados, no porque el español no esté preocupado sobre las cuestiones legales. Tengo la sensación que es porque cuando yo firmo en España un contrato con mi compañía CRG, este contrato que es español y que es suizo ocupa tres hojas. Sin embargo, cuando ahora mismo se está firmando con una nueva compañía que estamos produciendo una fusión con ellos, los mismos términos, hay 24 hojas. Supongo que es un tema por un lado de legislación supongo. En España existe una legislación muy clara, buena o mala, pero está tipificada. Sin embargo, entiendo que en entornos anglosajones hay muchísimo de jurisprudencia con lo cual todo hay que dejarlo muy escrito y temas que incluso pueden ser culturalmente raros. En un contrato que pongan que no tienes conductas inmorales o que no eres o tienes relación alcohólicas o drogodependientes, culturalmente queda raro. También es cierto que la jurisprudencia , perdón la legislación en España suele dejar absolutamente especificado, con lo cual no es necesario ponerlo por escrito.

I definitely believe so. My perception about this stereotype is that you Americans are much more worried, not because Spaniards aren’t worried about legal issues. I feel this way because when I sign a contract in Spain with my company CRG, this contract is Spanish and is Swedish and takes up three pages. In Spain we have very clear legislation, for good or for bad, but it is very spelled out. Nevertheless, I know that in Anglo-Saxon circles there is much more jurisprudence which requires that everything be in writing and include topics that are culturally strange. In a contract that puts that you are not involved in immoral conduct or that you are not involved in alcohol or dependent on drugs, culturally it is strange. It is also true that in Spain jurisprudence, excuse me that legislation in Spain tends to absolutely specify everything, and as such it is not necessary to put it in writing.
