Bien, se dice, pues de que los americanos en general tienen poco conocimiento sobre otras culturas, otros pueblos en todo el mundo. Es una afirmación en la cual yo, pues estoy de acuerdo. Porque, bien, pues, me he encontrado con alguna gente que he conocido en vacaciones que pues no conocen lugares, pues dónde está exactamente situada, por ejemplo la Península Ibérica o dónde está situada Cataluña dentro de la Península Ibérica o también otros lugares del mundo. Yo creo que una de las razones por la cual pues el pueblo americano tiene... es así, evidentemente no es, no es en general, no son toda la gente (porque los arquetipos, creo que no existen), pero creo que el pueblo americano se siente, porque se lo han vendido así, se siente que es el centro del mundo y debido a esto de pequeños se van creyendo de que no existe nada más que su país y que de alguna manera el resto del mundo está al servicio de ellos.

Well, they say that Americans in general have little knowledge about other cultures, other cities of the world. It is a statement that I agree with. Because, well, I have met with some people that I have known on vacations that don’t know about places, like where things are located, for example the Iberian Peninsula, where Catalunia is located within the Iberian Peninsula or other places of the world. I believe that one of the reasons why the Americans have..., are this way, obviously it isn’t all, it isn’t all of them (because I don’t believe the stereotypes that exists), but I believe that Americans feel, because it has been explained as such, that they feel that they are the center of the world and because of this little by little they have come to believe that there is nobody else but their country and that somehow the rest of the world is there to serve them.
