まず、仕事の時間なんですけれども、やはり平均十時間ぐらいはするんではないでしょうか。日本ではスケジュールっていうのは絶対守るべきだというふうに考えられていますんで、十時間以上、あるいはもう本当に締め切りがせまると徹夜とかそういうふうなこともあると思います。ところで、そのマネージャークラスになると、一日のうちほとんどが、会議が入っていますので、自分の席で仕事をするというのは朝の一時間程度しかないように思います。ですので、あまり朝早くからアポイントメントを取るというのは好まれない傾向にあり、やっぱり十時以降とか昼からアポイントメントを取る方が好ましいんではないでしょうか。また、あのアポイントメントを取る時は、その日突然行ってもほとんど会ってもらえないので、やっぱり、二、三日前から余裕をもって連絡をしておく、更にはマネージャーの上の方にいきますと、更に一週間前とかそのぐらいの余裕をもってアポイントメントをもって、取っておく必要があると思います。

First of all, as related to working hours, I think that we work about 10 hours on the average, right? In Japan, because everyone is expected to keep to the schedule without fail, I think there are times when we work more than 10 hours or that we work all night long when a deadline is soon approaching. By the way, those that are at managerial levels, meetings are booked almost all day long, so I think that the only time they have to work at their desk is for about one hour in the morning. For this reason, there is a preference to not schedule really early meetings and so you see, I think that it is better to make appointments after 10 a.m. or preferably in the afternoon. Also, it is really difficult to meet clients when you first schedule with them on that day. So, as you see, when you make an appointment you should play it safe and contact them two or three days before in advance. Additionally, I think it is even better to make the appointment further in advance, to be on the safe side, a week or so before, especially with those who are at higher managerial levels.
