İş görüşmelerinde bildiğimiz üzere medeni toplumlarda, işte erkekler klasik takım elbise, kravat takarlar, hanımlar da yine aynı şekilde döpiyes giyerler. Ama modern toplumlarda benim anladığım kadarıyla, illa ki de artık takım elbise ve kravat takmak, kadınların döpiyes giymesi şart değil. Ama ben kadın gözüyle, erkeklerin, açıkçası erkeklerin iş görüşmelerine sandaletle gelmelerini mesela hiç hoş karşılamıyorum. Bu benim göz zevkimi de bozuyor. Görüyorum, Amerikalılar sandaletle, hatta sandaletin içine çorap giyip gelebiliyorlar. Bu bence estetik değil, göz zevkimi de bozuyor. Türk toplumunda önemli olan temizlik. Temiz bir gömlekle, ceketle, elbiseyle, her neyse… Önemli olan temiz, ütülü olması, üstüne oturması, yakışması, uyumlu olması. Bunlara biz önem veriyoruz. Ben kadın olarak bu tür ayrıntılara önem veriyorum. Yani, kadınlar için de, dediğim gibi çok dekolte olmaması önemli iş görüşmelerindeki kıyafetlerin. Çok süper mini etekle gelinmemesi, kaçık bir çorapla gelinmemesi, aşırı abartılı makyaj ve saç yapılması bence hoş değil, güzel de değil. Türk toplumunda bu tür detaylara da önem veriliyor.

Turks are a hospitable nation, now everyone knows this, every nation knows it, I think. They like to invite people over; if they live with their families, wives and children, and even with their grandfather and grandmother, they would be glad to introduce them to you. They want you to eat the food they made. If you do not want to go, it is very natural, certainly, there is no obligation. Yet, if it is a warm atmosphere and if you would like to join, they would be happy. But, of course, you can decline it. This is the same with you, too; to accept or decline an offer is up to you. Such things would be seen quite natural. However, gladly, they invite you and would like to show you their culture, the environment that they live in and share it. You can decline it, too, not a problem at all.
