In Turkey as a rule, employers and employees eat together at specific times. For instance, during the festivals, an employer gives a festival dinner. Again, another one is called “iftaar” and it is after fasting. Another one is called New Year’s dinner, a gathering is organized and people have food. In some firms, that is in small size firms, employers share the same place and food. The most important reason for this is to boost morale among employees. They like to see their boss and a number of companies apply this. Yet, in the big cities, since there is no way to implement such a thing, naturally their CEOs dine with someone else out. For that reason, they eat with their employees in certain possible times.
