En Estados Unidos los títulos se consideran importantes pero es algo que no se publican mucho. Yo considero que donde uno más ve el título en una persona es en un resumé, tal vez un diploma en su oficina. Pero no se utiliza tanto como los latinos lo utilizamos para hablarle a las personas. En Latinoamérica se usa mucho el decir doctor, o decir ingeniero, arquitecto y los títulos se consideran bien importantes, es un signo de respeto a la persona. Yo considero que... para una persona haciendo negocio, nuevamente, en un país latino debe de siempre tener esto en mente, y utilizar el título correcto. Y estar seguro de que no llamarle al arquitecto al ingeniero porque tampoco les gusta mucho. Pero sí es algo importante y se considera una forma de respeto, y hay que pues, definitivamente respetar eso, ¿no?

In the United States the degrees are thought of as being important but it is something that you don't mention much. I think that where you most see their degrees is on a resume, maybe on a diploma in their office. But it isn't used as much as Latin Americans who use them to talk to people. In Latin America you say "Doctor" or you say "Engineer", "Architect", and the titles are thought of as being very important, it is a sign of respect for the person. I think that for a person who is doing business in a Latin American country should always have this in mind and use the titles correctly. And be sure not to call an architect an engineer because they don't like that very much. But yes it is important and is considered a sign of respect and you definitely have to respect that, right?
