En Bolivia es frecuente que se invite a algún amigo cercano a la casa. Normalmente cuando es la primera vez que visitan la casa, se los lleva a conocer todo el lugar, los cuartos, la cocina y otros ambientes. Si fuera una persona que no es allegada a la familia, es decir simplemente es un amigo con quien se quiere hacer algún negocio o cosas por el estilo, se suele invitarlo a un restaurante solamente. Sucede algo muy particular que la esposa se molesta si es que el invitado del amigo no fue invitado a la casa.

In Bolivia it is common to invite some friend to your house. Normally when it is the first time that they visit the house, they are shown the whole place, the rooms, the kitchen, and the other places. If it were a person that really isn't close to the family, such as simply a friend with whom you want to conduct business or something like that, then it's more customary to just invite them to a restaurant. Another thing that happens here is that the wife will be upset if the guest of the friend is not invited to the home.
